dishpvrfs

dishpvrfs is a read-only filesystem for Linux. The purpose of dishpvrfs is to allow easy access to the files located on the hard drive in your Dish 501, 508 or 510 PVR (aka DVR) set-top-box. The intent of dishpvrfs is to allow users to archive or backup content they have paid for and previously recorded. In no way does dishpvrfs encourage or endorse any type of satellite TV piracy, nor will inquiries of this nature be responded to.

Credits

Despite a ground up reverse engineering effort, I must give credit where credit is due. PVRdSE (yahoo user) originally reverse engineered the Dish PVR filesystem and my progress was much faster because I could use his program to generate logs to look at from his program.
